Editing is going well. I’m almost finished going through my first draft hard copy. It’s been a pain some days reading through and working out what I want to change and add, but that’s the life of editing I guess.
Once I’m done with the hard copy I will start making my changes on the computer, which will a challenge to keep everything together. I’m hoping to have most of the changes made by the end of the month, but as long as I have the hard copy done I’ll be happy.
August is coming up in a few weeks and that means Camp NaNoWriMo is coming around again. I’ve already planned out the plot of book two in the Djinn series, called Blooders. You may remember I wrote about the inspiration that struck me for that as I was leaving Phillip Island a few weeks ago. I’m glad I’ve already got it planned because it means I can focus more on editing book one as much as possible.
So there’s the plan everyone! Let’s hope I can stick to it!

You will…though I have learned the best laid plans do get undone sometimes
Camp NaNoWriMo again? Your productivity leaves me in awe.
Editing is my least favourite part of the writing process. It takes *forever*, and I’m never sure if the changes I’m making are good or bad. That being said, I am about to embark on three weeks of intensive editing because I have to reduce my word count by 21,307 words. Ack. I’ll send happy editing thoughts your way while I’m slowly buried under a mound of misplaced commas and improper punctuation.
